Copywriting
A good copywriter knows which words
trigger the feelings that compel people to make decisions. They write with
flair, making it easy for people to be drawn into what they are saying about
your business, services or products. Read an an example of good copywriting for a
fictitious Sydney Mercedes Dealer, or
just "ok"

Comment: Internet Explorer continues to
lose ground against Firefox. Googles browser offering, Chrome, has gained a
reasonable following, but will have to work hard to get anywhere near Firefox
(or IE for that matter). Nothing much else has changed since last year.
Comment: Windows has lost some ground
against Macintosh, but still retains a stranglehold on the operating system
market. iPhone browsing has increased (of course), but not to the extent I would
have thought. 2010 statistics will no doubt show a further increase.

Comment: Vista has left such a bad stain on Windows
users, a huge majority of people still use good old reliable XP. I can attest to
why personally - Vista was, and is, a joke - I recall having less problems with
Windows 98. BUT, since changing to Windows 7,
I'm saving myself an estimated 5 or so hours per week. For XP users afraid of
going to Windows 7, I would say don't be - it is a breeze to install, and a joy
to use. I will say this however - I recommend that if you do decide to go to
Windows 7, you don't upgrade, but instead do a complete install on a new hard
drive. You should probably have at least 2gb of ram in your system as well. If
you are buying new computer parts, be sure to ask your retailer about an OEM
version of Windows 7 - it's much cheaper.

favoured by Windows users, and Safari by Mac users.
Comment: Last years popular screen res
(1024x768) has lost a lot of ground. This is due in part to more people using
laptops, as well as opting for wide screen monitors. And why not? Laptops and
monitors are so cheap these days. A tip for businesses: a very inexpensive way to
increase your workers productivity - give them a second screen and run dual
monitors - it will be the best $150 - $200 you can spend.

are "unknown".

Comment: BigPond (Telstra) is still miles (kilometres?) ahead of its nearest
rival, Optus. Both iiNet and TPG gained ground over last year, whereas BigPond
and Optus usage remained virtually the same.
Comment: Again, no surprises. Once the changes expected to happen with regards
to Bing and Yahoo this year, we'll see a boost for Bing and a drop for Yahoo.
