Copywriting
A good copywriter knows which words
trigger the feelings that compel people to make decisions. They write with
flair, making it easy for people to be drawn into what they are saying about
your business, services or products. Read an an example of good copywriting for a
fictitious Sydney Mercedes Dealer, or
just "ok"
website copy for a Used Mercedes dealer.

It's no secret that I'm a fan of GoPro sports cameras. And why not,
particularly when there appears to be nothing comparable on the market - perhaps
until now.
Welcome the all new Sony Full HD Action camera, the HDRA S15 (HDR-AS15K with the
full kit). As at the time of writing (September 16), its not actually on the
market yet, but my friends at SportsCamera.com.au have managed to get hold of a
pre-production model for testing - and preliminary tests indicate it is VERY
good.
Will it be a GoPro "killer"? I doubt it. BUT, I think it will manage to do what
many others have failed to do so far, and that is put a dent in what might be
arguably called GoPro's (almost) market monopoly.
The HDRA-S15 comes in two packages - one which is just the camera and a mount
(HDRA S15), and another which comes with the camera and various mounts, a
desktop charger, etc. (HDR-AS15K). Its unclear yet as to whether Australia will
get both, but we will be at least get the HDR-AS15K.
As for pricing, its comparable to the GoPro. Well, actually, that's not quite
true. The Sony comes with a 16MP CMOS Sensor, Wi-Fi ready to go, and 120FPS. The
Sony will connect to an app to run on your smart phone orf tablet.
Whereas if you want Wi-Fi, it will cost you an extra (approximately) $149 on top for the GoPro
Wi-Fi BacPac and remote control.
Sony, on its website, says that it is an ultra-compact, lightweight,
point-of-view action camera which records stunning Full HD video suitable for a
wide range of sports from surfing to snowboarding, mountain biking, and anything
else you can think of! This would of course include motorcycling, although I
think some more mounting options may be required for us motorcyclists.
They also state that it captures breathtaking scenes and smooth, stable images
of your adventures so easily, it's a "breeze".
SportsCamera.com.au tested the 120 FPS (frames per second) feature using their
doggie family as subjects. The video at the bottom of this page was filmed at 120FPS, then reduced to
60FPS to create a beautifully detailed, full HD slow motion sequence.
The original video is of course much better quality than the optimised one
below, but you get the idea. Its FANTASTIC!
So, let's (roughly) compare the GoPro Hero2 with the Sony HDR-AS15K:
Sony has (maximum) 120FPS, GoPro 60FPS in 720p
Sony has built in Wi-Fi - GoPro costs around $140 extra for Wi-Fi
GoPro has remote control available with Wi-Fi BacPac - no app at time of
writing
GoPro has multiple retail packs available, depending on your use (IE,
Motorsports, Surf, Outdoor)
Sony has a universal 1/4" screw mount - GoPro has its own propietary
mounting system
Sony comes with a desktop charger and spare battery - GoPro Battery
BacPac costs about $70
Some of the features of the Sony HDRAS15 are:
16MP Exmor 'R' CMOS Sensor
The CMOS Sensor allows faster reading of greater amount of pixel
information as it employs multi channel output and addition readout as
compared to CCD. In addition, the structural characteristics of the CMOS
Sensor provide smear-free images and allow charges to be converted into
electric signals with less power consumption.
By combining the CMOS Sensor with the Enhanced Imaging Processor (Sony's
original signal processing circuit), it will have a wider dynamic range,
high sensitivity, low noise, high-speed reading, and low power consumption.
The CMOS Sensor minimizes blowouts or black-crush and offers images with
rich gradation.
16MP Exmor 'R' CMOS Sensor
Action Cam features a class-leading Exmor R CMOS Sensor, which results in
outstanding image quality, even when shooting in low-light conditions. The
Action Cam also features a time-lapse recording mode, allowing you to take
amazing 16 Megapixel still images at intervals of 5, 10, 30 and 60 seconds, to
make sure you never miss the money-shot.
Full HD 1080 (30p) HD 720 (60p, 120p)
With High Definition (HD) 1080 recording, the effective scanning line is 1,080,
which is more than twice the number in conventional standard definition (SD)
format, and video data quality of High Definition 1080p recording is about 4.5
times more. The difference between HD picture and SD quality is immediately
noticeable. The wider 16:9 aspect ratio of HD approximates the shape of the
human visual field, making you feel like you are actually in the picture.
Built-in WiFi
Wireless LAN (Local Area Network), enables wireless compatible devices to
network without cables. There are 3 standards: 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g.
170 degree Wide Angle Carl Zeiss lens
High quality precision optics from the German company Carl Zeiss. Carl Zeiss
lenses are unique because every lens must pass stringent computerised quality
testing for 100% quality assurance before they can be used in a Sony camera.
Steadyshot Image Stabilisation
