Self SEO - Learn SEO and Search Engine Optimisation Techniques

Search engine optimisation can be an expensive exercise, especially if you are in a competitive industry. SEO experts can charge hundreds of dollars per month to not only get your site higher up in the Google results, and even more to keep you there.

You can hone your own search engine optimisation skills by doing your own research, such as reading SEO forums, webmaster help forums, and your own trial and error.

Self SEO, or learning on your own, can be advantageous in that it costs less, you can do it in your own time, and you empower yourself by learning a new skill all by yourself.

However, the disadvantages can far outweigh any advantages.

For example, how long will it take you to get your skills up to speed and start seeing results?

How do you know what you read is going to be effective, and complies with current guidelines?
