Copywriting

Website Copywriting A good copywriter knows which words trigger the feelings that compel people to make decisions. They write with flair, making it easy for people to be drawn into what they are saying about your business, services or products. Read an an example of good copywriting for a fictitious Sydney Mercedes Dealer, or just "ok" website copy for a Used Mercedes dealer.

I attended the 2012 "Cops and Rodders" show at Engadine for the first time this year. I have to say that I was amazed at the size of the crowd, and how well run the show was.

A lot of the credit needs to go to Senior Constable Dave Hayes from Sutherland LAC, as well as the crowd itself who were well behaved (duh! ;-) and enthusiastic.

The Cops and Rodders show started at 9am, and finished up mid afternoon. Luckily they moved the show this year to the Boys Town Playing Fields on Woronora Avenue, Engadine, because they had a reported 25,000 people in attendance throughout the day, a whopping 150% increase over the 10,000 who attended last year's event. That alone is mind boggling! I think Dave may have a future in event planning if he ever decides to leave the Force!

Local Area Commander Julian Griffiths said that there would be "hundreds of cars on display", and he wasn't kidding. The field was packed with beautifully restored old Holdens, Fords, and a slew of other famous brands like Chev, etc.

Also on display were a variety of specialist Police commands and emergency services sections, not to mention police vehicles from days gone by. Another quite interesting display was the Army K9 unit, with demonstrations of dog control.

Special guests on the day included including V8 Supercar Driver, Mark Winterbottom; Australian Touring Car Hall of Fame, Jim Richards; V8 Utes driver, Andrew Fisher; Day of Difference Founder & Chairman, Ron Delezio; and Road Safety Expert, Ian Luff.

Watch the video below to hear how Jim Richards got into car racing.

Speaking of racing car drivers, the crowd flocked around Mark Winterbottom when he jumped behind the wheel of the one of the latest Ford FPV Highway Patrol cars. A new recruit perhaps? He seemed pretty well at home there in the FPV.

The event was free to attend, but visitors were encouraged to make a gold coin donation with funds raised donated to St George Hospital Trauma Unit - Sutherland LAC's nearest trauma hospital to treat and manage serious injuries.

All in all it was an excellent day, and Senior Constable Dave Hayes and all those involved should be very proud of themselves.

Keep an eye out for this show next year, and pop along. Its great family day out with rides, food, friendly cops, and great displays, not to mention awesome cars on display. ;-)
