Even though I live in the middle of suburbia, fortunately I'm located right
tree line of a park and so often enjoy Australian bird sounds as if I'm living
in rural Australia.
The trees in the park are quite large, and at certain times of the day attract
many native, and perhaps not so native, birds.
They can be quite vocal at times too, such as this morning. We've just had some
very wet weather in Sydney, but today, Sunday, has been beautiful and sunny -
albeit still quite cold.
It seems as if the birds, particularly melodious magpies, have ventured out to
gossip amongst each other and celebrate the sunny day to come.
Then, almost as if they had their fill of chatter, the birds all left, and it
was quiet.
